Clarence Koletzky, age 89, of Yankton South Dakota passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28 at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel in Yankton with Monsignor Carlton Hermann officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton.
Visitations will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 27 with a Scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jae Koletzky, Arlen Langle, Tom Noll, Dan Bouza, Gene Simek, and David Koletzky.
Clarence Koletzky, the son of George and Katherine (Koupal) Koletzky, was born on October 21, 1920 on the family homestead near Tabor. Clarence graduated from Tabor High School in 1938 and farmed the family homestead until his retirement in 1982. He remained on the farm until March of 2009 when he moved to Yankton. Clarence married Marian Thompson on June 23, 1942.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marian, Yankton, and three children, son Wayne (Arlo) Koletzky of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Daughter Ione (John) Fejfar of Custer, South Dakota, and son Keith (Renee) Koletzky of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren Eric Koletzky, Lori Gardner, Justin Fejfar, Jeremy Fejfar, Beth Koletzky, and Kiera Koletzky and two great grandchildren Brock and Bryce Fejfar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Gordon Koletzky and his sister Eleanor Noll.
